Job Opening #1:  Wait Staff  *WE HAVE OUR CORE STAFF, MAY NEED A FEW SUMMER HELPERS FOR EXTRA BUSY DAYS OR EVENINGS

 

Hours: Flexible, but primarily for 10:30 am to 3 pm a few days a week. Some Sundays for special events. Hours are part-time and flexible.

 

Skills Required: Excellent communication skills as well as a customer-oriented, positive "can-do" personality. Hours are mostly daytime (perfect for those who need to be home by 4 pm), but we do have some night time events (a few weekends every other month). Needs to be able to work independently.

Job Opening #2:  Kitchen Manager

 

Hours: Flexible, 30-40 hours per week

 

Job Description: Manage the kitchen of a small, Victorian Tea House, including: employee scheduling, inventory management, menu planning, food preparation (baking and cooking)

 

Skills Required: Excellent organizational skills. some computer skills, ServSafe Certification required

Job Opening #3: Cooks

Hours: Saturdays (and/or some Sundays) 10 am to 4 pm and potentially 2 weekdays, 10 am to 3 pm; we will also have events going on during some evenings from 5-9 pm

Job Description: We need 1-2 people who can help in the kitchen with prepping baked items such as quiches, potpies and desserts. Also looking for someone who can work a few days a week (including Saturdays) for plating and running dishes through. ServSafe Certification is a plus, but not required - we will train.

 

Skills Required: Must be organized, reliable, and consistent. The right person should have the following personality: engaging, kind, and patient with other employees and patrons, while keeping the kitchen under control and clean. 

Duties:

  • Must be able to follow recipes and know the basics of baking / cooking

  • Must be willing to learn

  • Must be organized:

    • Keep track of inventory

    • Prep menu items before restaurant hours

    • It's a plus if you've been a “line cook” - we sometimes need someone to fill in during restaurant open hours

    • Keep kitchen clean

  • It’s a plus to be ServSafe Certified, but not required

  • Must have a happy personality, with “can do” positive attitude, and ability to “switch gears” quickly

  • Team-oriented attitude
