This 6-week class is for kids age 6-8 years. Our host for this fun adventure of creating items with needle and thread is Moe Lietz, who has well over 30 years of experience.

Skills which will be taught in this session will include:

• Hand-sewing techniques

• Sewing basics

• Understanding patterns

• Learning about fabrics and what they're used for

 

2 projects will be sewn by hand (a pillow and a scrunchie or headband). Kids will also learn sewing safety including good ironing and sewing machine habits. A final project will be a cozy fleece item.

6 weeks with each class being 1 hour and 15 minutes long, includes a snack of little tea sandwiches, tea, and a scone. This class is perfect for Girl Scouts Badges!
